We're excited to share that Ashley Munro has stepped in as the interim director of Admissions! She'll be taking on this role until we find a permanent replacement. Ashley has served in many roles and is well-versed in enrollment management work. With her decades of experience at UAF and three years of experience as the director of Financial Aid, Ashley is already familiar with many aspects of Admissions and has a great rapport with students. We’re confident that she’ll do a great job of leading the Admissions team during our search for a new director!
Anna Gagne-Hawes
At the same time, we are thrilled to announce that Anna Gagne-Hawes has joined the Nanook Advising team as our new special projects manager and first-year advising specialist, effective June 1, 2025!
Anna has been an integral part of the UAF community since 2013, when she began her journey in Residence Life. Over the years, she has taken on various roles within Admissions, culminating in her position as director of Admissions. Her achievements in these roles, including spearheading successful enrollment initiatives, leading process improvement projects, and managing large-scale projects, demonstrate her extensive experience and a proven track record of success that she brings to our team.
