Dear ²ÊÉñix¹ÙÍø students,

In a spirit of gratitude after a rewarding 30-year career at UAF, I have decided to retire from my position as UAF chancellor. My last day will be July 26, 2025. In the near term, I will retain my affiliation with UAF through my faculty position in civil engineering.

I am thankful to you, the students, for choosing UAF. You have enriched our campuses with your curiosity, tenacity and enthusiasm. UAF is an amazing institution because of you.

Today, like times in the past, UAF faces challenges. But there is also a great deal of opportunity ahead! UAF has an outstanding core of leadership, strong and growing enrollment, state support for our run to R1, and a wide range of expertise that will serve the state, nation, and world well into the future.Ìý

Thank you for the vibrance you bring to our community and for entrusting UAF with your education. It is worthy of your support.Ìý

Thank you and thanks for choosing UAF!

Dan White, chancellor
