Request for Proposals: Innovation for Climate Action and Sustainable Communities

The United Nations has defined . The Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action by all countries — poor, rich and middle-income — to promote prosperity while protecting the planet.
The goals recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies to build economic growth and address a range of social needs, including education, health, social protection and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection. More important than ever, the goals provide a critical framework for COVID-19 recovery.
Center ICE is soliciting proposals for innovations that focus on two of these goals: SDG , and . Underlying this call is UN SDG . Projects funded under this RFP will develop an innovative idea and move it closer to commercial reality while addressing SDG /centerice/news/2020/september/11 or /centerice/news/2020/september/13.
This RFP is supported by the Office of Naval Research and is a program of the Alaska Center for Innovation, Commercialization, and Entrepreneurship.
